Michael LeGoff

Chief Executive Officer

Michael founded Plessey in 2009 with the acquisition of legacy assets and has led the business since that time. Prior to Plessey, he founded Dynex Semiconductors in 1995, which was listed in 1998 (CDNX:DNX), before selling his holding in 2005. Michael holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics, an MBA and is a registered professional engineer. He is also a member of the IET and the AIAA.

Dr. Keith Strickland

Chief Technology Officer

Keith has more than 20 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry starting with GEC-Plessey Semiconductors in 1995, and has held various senior engineering, management, and executive roles within Mitel / Zarlink and now Plessey. Keith holds a B.Sc. Honours degree in Physics and Electronics, M.Sc. degree in Semiconductor Devices and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Lancaster in the UK.

Iain Silvester

Chief Financial Officer

Iain has more than 20 years’ experience in private and public growth stage technology companies. Most recently, he was CFO of picoChip Inc. and Finance Director of Motion Media PLC, where he managed its IPO on the LSE in 2000. Iain holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young where he specialised in corporate finance.

Giuliano has more than 15 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing. Most recently he was the Business Development Manager for Cree Inc., covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. He holds a Diploma in Electronics, graduated in Economy and also holds an EMBA Executive Master in Business Administration from the Politecnico University of Milano.

Myles Blake

Marketing Director

Myles has more than 30 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, starting with Plessey Semiconductors in 1981 as a test engineer. He moved into the growing world of IT and helped guide the company through the IT evolution, later moving from software development into project management. Myles has also provided IT Management services to a number of companies, being responsible for all aspects of local IT and corporate projects. He holds an HND in Computer Studies and a diploma in Management Studies.

Mike Snaith

Operations Director

Mike has more than 25 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, joining Plessey in 1987. He is an experienced manager and team leader and has previously focussed on Photolithography, Diffusion and Films sections of Wafer Fabrication before moving into a manufacturing management role. Mike holds a diploma in Management Studies from the Chartered Management Institute.

Christopher Bailey

Financial Director & Controller

Chris has more than 30 years’ experience starting with AEI Semiconductors, then Marconi Electronic Devices Ltd and then GEC-Plessey Semiconductors, working in both the UK and France.  When GEC-Plessey Semiconductors was acquired by Mitel/Zarlink in 1998, he became the Finance Manager World-wide Operations in 2000. The position included responsibility for six manufacturing sites across the world. He later became the Site & Finance Director following the acquisition of the Plymouth site by XFAB in 2002. Chris holds an HND in Business Studies and qualified FCCA.

Pippa has more than 20 years’ experience in senior HR management with roles within the UK and New Zealand, including GEC Plessey Semiconductor, Motorola, British Aerospace and SmithKline Beecham. Pippa holds an HND in Business Studies and a post graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the University of the West of England.

Sir Peter Williams

Sir Peter Williams is the Honorary Treasurer and Vice President of the Royal Society and Chairman of the National Physical Laboratory. He is a Non executive director of W.S. Atkins plc and a Trustee of Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Chancellor of the University of Leicester. He is the non-executive director of GKN plc, Chairman and Chief Executive of Oxford Instruments plc, Deputy Chief Executive of VG Instruments Ltd., Master of St. Catherine’s College Oxford, Chairman of Trustees of the Science Museum, Chairman of the Engineering & Technology Board and Chairman of the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council. Sir Peter was Knighted in 1998 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society and of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Professor Sir Colin Humphreys is the Director of the Research Department of Material Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Selwyn College Cambridge. He is the Director of the Cambridge Gallium Nitride Centre, Fellow of the Royal Society, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a Member of the Court of the Armourers and Braisers’ Company and a Freeman of the City of London. Also a Member of the John Templeton Foundation in the USA

John Scarisbrick

John Scarisbrick has three decades of leadership experience in the Technology and Semiconductor industry world-wide. The majority of his career with Texas Instruments was spent in various roles including President of TI Europe, retiring as Senior Vice President after 25 years. He has been a Non-executive Director of FTSE100 ARM PLC for 10 years and has served first as non-executive Director then Chief Executive of FTSE250 Cambridge Silicon Radio. He serves on boards of seven private technology firms, currently on boards of Intersec (Paris) and ETA Devices (Boston).

Sir Robin Saxby

Sir Robin Saxby holds a BEng Electronics 1968, Hon DEng 2000. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the Royal Society and visiting Professor at the University of Liverpool.  He is the Technology entrepreneur who served as chairman, president and chief executive of ARM Holdings plc., retiring from ARM in October 2007. He serves as Angel investor and advisor to various technology start-ups.

Lady Barbara Judge, CBE

Lady Barbara Judge is a Commercial Lawyer with both British and American citizenship.  She is the National Chairman of the UK Institute of Directors and UK Business Ambassador. She serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) and the Energy Institute of University College London and is a Non-executive director for Portmeirion Group. Previously held posts as Chairman of the Pension Protection Fund, the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council and a Commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
